How Escalators Are Cleaned

escalator cleaning is also carrying out detailed inspections of all escalator steps and performing every service with the utmost care, assuring the safest and most reliable function in each of your units. Dirty escalators create an awful impression while cleaning escalators is a tedious and hard job. A dirty, greasy or oily escalator can cause accidents and damage the property and/or cause potential risks to humans. Elderly and children that use the escalators increase the susceptibility of falls and losing the balance
The escalator surface is left clean and dry with no risk of contamination to lubricating oils in escalator drums or damage to electrical circuits. During the cleaning process the machine operator and there assistant removes all embedded foreign matter; which could damage the escalator combs and steps. An important aspect of this cleaning process is that all sand, dirt and spillage which would normally have combined with oil and grease to form a grinding paste in the escalator mechanism, are completely removed.
The process of escalator cleaning was time consuming, involved days or just did not occur. The escalator steps would be disassembled and cleaned by a power washing technique that again would take the escalators off line for long periods of time at expensive rates. The cleaning machines which are invented lately offer thorough cleaning without dismantling the escalator. These machines can be concurrently used on steps and riser of the escalator. During the cleaning, the machine is fitted to the stopped escalator, and then it sprays the green seal cleaning solution onto the steps. Then, the steps and risers are agitated by brushes which gently remove the debris from the surface
The escalator cleaning machine is easily transported on its trolley and sits stationary on a still escalator. It sprays a fine mist of solution on to the step and the 15 rotating brushes deep clean and sweep all dirt into the vac and then into the recovery tank. There are 4 especially chosen brushes that do not damage aluminium or the painted surfaces however still remove tough dirt and grease. The machine is programmed to automatically dispense a measured amount of biodegradable solution, while spinning brushes scrub deep into the recesses of each tread and riser. Once a step is cleaned, hydraulics enables the operator to raise the machine and position it onto the next dirty step. This process removes most, if not all, of the dirt, oil, grease and lint from the surface and recess of the steps and risers.
Maintenance - Regular maintenance will require fewer repairs to the escalators and will prolong its life. The latest cleaning systems require less time for cleaning the escalators, now the escalators are sanitized at the point without interrupting business.
Safety - A slippery escalator will create occurrences of slips and falls. Removing the dirt and cleaning the greasy contents will avoid the incidents from occurring. A routine cleaning schedule will help prevent potential slip and fall hazards
Grease Control - A layer of rust and heavy grease on the escalator will make the escalator lose its shine and make it look older. The reliability of the escalator is compromised when it is covered with dirt and debris.
Appearance - The number of maintenance issues is reduced if the escalators are clean, as it boosts the physical appearance of the escalators. One can avoid complaints occurring due to dirty escalators. Hand railings and the steps is the first visible thing for the customers, and untidy escalators can spoil the appearance of the escalators
